The Ministry of Communications recently promulgated regulations on the management of motor vehicle maintenance. In order to ensure the implementation of this system, the Shanghai Automobile maintenance Management Office recently issued a notice on the implementation of the quality guarantee period system for the completion and delivery of motor vehicle maintenance, requiring all motor vehicle maintenance operators to implement the new system from the 1st of this month, and the quality guarantee period stipulated in the original Shanghai Automobile maintenance quality supervision and management measures shall be invalidated at the same time.
The new system stipulates that the warranty period for vehicle repair or assembly repair is 20000 kilometers or 100 days, the warranty period for secondary maintenance is 5000 kilometers or 30 days, and the warranty period for primary maintenance, minor repair and special repair is 2000 kilometers or 10 days, which is 100% and 11%,400% and 200% higher than the warranty period originally implemented by Shanghai's automobile repair industry, 100 per cent and 42 per cent. It also increases the warranty period for special repairs, and also stipulates the mileage and date indicators during the quality assurance period, whichever comes first.
The municipal automobile maintenance management office requires each motor vehicle maintenance operator to formulate the relevant quality guarantee period for completion and delivery, but shall not be lower than the guarantee period stipulated in the new system, and shall be publicized to the public. The quality guarantee period promised on various valid certificates such as certificate of approval and settlement list issued to car repair customers shall be consistent with the quality guarantee period publicized. At the same time, the factory odometer indication value, factory date and name of quality inspector shall be filled in the relevant certificates.
During the quality guarantee period and the promised quality guarantee period, if the motor vehicle cannot be used normally due to the maintenance quality, and the repairer is unable or unable to provide relevant certificates that the motor vehicle cannot be used due to non-maintenance reasons within 3 days, the motor vehicle maintenance The operator shall return to repair in a timely and free manner, and shall not deliberately delay or refuse unreasonably. If the same fault or maintenance item cannot be used normally after two repairs, the motor vehicle maintenance operator shall be responsible for contacting other motor vehicle maintenance operators and bear the corresponding repair costs.
